Simplicity 2227; ca. 1947; "JR. MISSES’ AND MISSES’ ONE-PIECE EVENING DRESS AND MITTS. The bodice, seamed down the center front, is fitted with darts at the back waistline and gathers at the side front. A slide fastener secures the back opening of the bodice which extends into the skirt. The flare skirt is cut in four sections. A scooped-out neckline finishes the dress. Style I has short sleeves, a lace peplum and overskirt. Style II features a lace ruffle at the neck edge.
